AP Biology

18/11/2014

The following topics were covered this week:

Cell respiration

Glycolysis (to be continued)

Dear parents,

Hope this e-mail finds you well.
As you know AP Biology is a hard college level course that should be taken seriously, yet the students are not studying at all.
Even when they are given  assignments that will enhance their learning process, they don’t turn them in on time. It is not enough that they sit in class and listen to an explanation, but they have to study hard.
Last week the class had a scheduled quiz, but, due to not being prepared and not having studied for the quiz, most of them did very poorly. Next Sunday 23/11/2014 they have another bigger test, which they have been informed about last week, and I even suggested to them a studying schedule to help them break down the task and revise all the topics. This coming test will be covering the following lessons:
-Evolution
-Biochemistry
-The cell
It is of very high importance that the students take this test, and the whole course very seriously. This test will be modelling the” Real” AP Biology Exam in a way to measure their performance in that subject. I will inform you of their results as soon as I am done with the correction.
Thanks,
Ms Nesreen Saeed
